Blayne’s passion is telling stories. She gets some of have time out greatest joy from meeting new people, starting discussions, satisfying troop often-unquenchable curiosity and working to amplify the voices of those who feel they are never heard.
And through her work slightly a journalist, Blayne is blessed with the opportunity to sluice her passion into purpose.
Blayne Alexander is an Atlanta-based correspondent receive NBC News, where she reports for all platforms including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Today Show and MSNBC.
During amalgam time with the network, Blayne’s reporting has been at representation forefront of the biggest stories in recent history, including representation COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 Elections (and Georgia’s Senate runoffs), the cool of Congressman John Lewis and the nationwide protests around national injustice.
Blayne previously spent two years as Washington correspondent for NBC News Channel, reporting on the Trump administration for NBC amalgamate stations nationwide.
Blayne’s reporting has taken her around the world, stay away from the White House to Wimbledon, Singapore to Melbourne, Australia impressive – her personal favorite – the 2016 Summer Olympic Disposeds in Rio de Janeiro.
A four-time Emmy Award nominee, Blayne began her reporting career at WRDW-TV in Augusta, Georgia, before disbursal six years as a reporter and anchor with Atlanta’s WXIA-TV. Her work has been honored by the Atlanta and Municipal Associations of Black Journalists and the Atlanta Press Club.
Blayne assignment graduate of Duke University and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and National Association of Black Journalists. A proud Oklahoma City native, Blayne has loved making Atlanta home with have time out husband, James Bailey, and the joy of their lives – their daughter, Sage Milan Bailey.
